Pentecost Sunday
Sunday, May 24 - 8:45am and 11am

Pentecost Sunday, May 24, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church will celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit
with the message, “In the Wind and Fire, Sent to Speak,” based on Acts 2:1-21.

This powerful Pentecost text reminds us that the Spirit comes not only to comfort and renew, but also to
awaken courage, break down barriers, and send ordinary people into the world as bold witnesses of
Christ’s love and grace.

Our worship together will explore how the Spirit moves like wind and fire, bringing both renewal and transformation.
Just as the disciples were empowered to speak with courage and clarity,
we too are called to live Spirit-filled lives marked by compassion, conviction, hope, and mercy.

Join us for worship on Sunday at either of our two services:
• 8:45 a.m. Modern-Style Worship in the Family Life Center
• 11:00 a.m. Traditional-Style Worship in the Sanctuary

Whether you are seeking encouragement, renewal, or a deeper sense of God’s presence,
Pentecost is a reminder that the Spirit is still moving through the church and through our lives today.
