First Sunday in Lent – Matthew 4:1–11
Why would the Spirit lead Jesus into the wilderness? In this first message of our Lenten series Mercy in the Wilderness,
we explore how seasons of testing are not signs of God’s absence, but places where God’s mercy quietly sustains and strengthens us.
In the wilderness, Jesus was tempted, yet he was also tended. The same is true for us.
When we are tested, we are not abandoned. We are surrounded by grace.
