Adult ADHD Support Group Forming at PHUMC

ADHD is often misunderstood, especially in adults. Symptoms can look different from person to person, and getting a proper diagnosis usually takes more than a quick questionnaire.

Geoff Gray, a member of PHUMC, has lived with ADHD his entire life and has spent over 20 years working with therapy and medication to manage it. Recently, he and his therapist began searching for a local support group for adults with ADHD — and discovered that none exist in our area. So, Geoff is starting one.

As part of our Nurture Ministries, this new support group will meet biweekly in PHUMC’s Solid Grounds Café. The first few gatherings will focus on learning about adult ADHD — its symptoms, causes, and everyday challenges — and why having a support community can make such a difference.

Everyone is welcome:

  • Adults with ADHD
  • Family members or partners of someone with ADHD
  • Anyone who simply wants to learn more

Questions are encouraged in the meetings, and support is the goal. If you’ve been looking for a space where people truly understand what it's like to live with ADHD, we hope you’ll join us.

Bi-Weekly, starting Tuesday, September 8 at 7 PM.
