On Sunday, August 10, Pleasant Hill UMC will have a special Blessing of the Backpacks during both the 8:45 a.m. modern worship service in the Family Life Center and the 11:00 a.m. traditional worship service in the Sanctuary.

All students—from preschoolers to college students—are encouraged to bring their backpacks to worship. During the service, we will take a moment to pray over them, asking God’s blessing for the school year ahead. We will also lift up teachers, staff, and school administrators as they begin another year of shaping young minds and hearts.

This beloved tradition is a visible reminder to our students that their church family is walking with them into the new school year and supporting them with prayer, encouragement, and love.
